Prayer Meetings

Prayer Meetings at New Horizon are open for everyone to attend and are held in the Prayer Tent next to the main Pavilion. Please do join us as we seek God's blessing on all the activities - come when you can, leave when you need to.

  • Mornings @ 09.30
  • Evenings @ 18.45

Prayer Tent

The Prayer Tent at New Horizon is the place to go if you would like someone to pray with you - either after the morning Bible Readings or after the Evening Celebration.  There you will find members of the Pastoral Support Team who will be prepared to spend time with you in prayer with whatever is on your heart - whether it is an issue which is burdening you or something you feel the Lord is saying to you at New Horizon.

Anything you share will be treated in confidence.  Should you need extra help with something, then our team will be happy to find you a professional counsellor - appointments are available during the week of New Horizon as well as after the Event.

So don't carry your burden alone - come over to the Prayer Tent and share it with someone.

Quiet Room

The Quiet Room is a place where you can go if you want to be on your own.  New Horizon is a busy week and sometimes we need to escape from the hustle and bustle just to find time and space to think, reflect, meditate, pray or rest.  If that is what you need, then make your way to the Quiet Room where you will find a warm, welcoming environment which provides you with the tranquility and solitude you are looking for.

Prayer Topics

 Prayer topics:

The main speakers at the Event will be as follows:  Evening Celebrations - Malcolm Duncan & Simon Guillebaud; Bible Readings - Calisto Odede.  Pray for these men as they prepare messages for the event.

Pray for all the seminar speakers as they prepare their seminars.

Pray for the recruitment of an adequate number of volunteers.  Some 500 volunteers are required to cover all areas of the event including the Youth Programme.

Pray for the members of the Management Team as they manage their areas of responsibility.

Pray for those who are considering coming to the event this year.  Finance could play a major part in many decisions and the change of date could affect registration too.  Pray for a good response from the Christian public.

The theme of NH this year is Follow me - a life of selfless surrender

In a culture that trumpets the instant, the now, where following a complete stranger is made so easy, how should we respond to the request of Jesus to follow me?  Pray that we will all be challenged about the journey of selfless surrender we are called to, as we discover the true and sacrificial heart of discipleship, of lifetimes given over to the service of Jesus.
