The New Horizon Bursary Scheme helps young Christians considering their first step in involvement in Christian service overseas by contributing to the costs of an overseas placement. Candidates should be 17 years of age and over and already accepted for a period of overseas service of between 6 weeks and 2 years by a Church or Mission organisation; grants will normally be given only to those who have attended New Horizon in 2 years out of the preceding 4. Please download the appropriate form using the button.
The following are a few pieces of news from those who have received NH bursaries and are currently serving overseas:
- Hannah Taylor is working with SAMS (South American Missionary Society) in Paraguay teaching English in San Andres School from September 2011 to December 2012.
- Connor Johnston is working with AIM (Africa Inland Mission) in Uganda helping at secondary schools and also discipling young Africans in a project called ABIDE. He is there from September 2011 to June 2012.
- Bethany McGookin is working with OM (Operation Mobilisation) on the ship Logos Hope from January 2012 to January 2014.
Please pray for these young people serving God overseas.
