2009 Mission Project

 

The Mission Project at New Horizon this year will assist the work of a student ministry team in Central Thailand. This team is embarking on a new project which aims to place 15,000 copies of John's Gospel in a bi-lingual, student-friendly format, into the hands of Thai students, along with a package of resources which can be used by Thai students in their own language - Bible studies, surveys, tracts, English classes, evangelistic talks, a website. For the majority of students who receive these, it will be the first time they have had the opportunity to read anything in their own language about Jesus Christ. The project is also committed to training Thai Christian students to share Christ with their peers in relevant and meaningful ways and to running evangelistic camps.

The project will run from May 2009 – April 2010, a full academic year in Thailand and will be done in partnership with Thai Christian Students, Thailand’s equivalent to IFES.
